Terminal 4 is large; Delta provides an internal shuttle between selected A and B concourse locations.
Airport layout
JFK's active passenger terminals are 1, 4, 5, 7 and 8. AirTrain connects the terminals outside security; changing terminals normally means clearing security again.
Getting to the gate
Confirm both the airport code and terminal. New York itineraries can use JFK, LaGuardia or Newark, which are separate airports.
Connections
Leave a generous buffer for a terminal change because there is no universal airside connection among JFK terminals.
